Itinerary:

Day-1:
Start from Dhaka at 6.40am train and arrival at Sreemangal by 1.30pm. Upon arrival you will be received and transfer to the hotel.

After lunch The Shrine of saint Hazrat Shah Jalal is the most historically interesting monuments in Sylhet town. T’oday, more than six hundred years after his death, the shrine is visited by innumerable devotees of every caste and creed, who make the journey from far away places. The swords, the holy Quran and the robes of the holy saint are at display in the shrine. Also visit the Keen bridge. This bridge is located over the Surma River at the middle of Sylhet city. This bridge is named after Sir Micheal Keane who was the English Governor of Assam from 1932 to 1937. It is made of iron and steel and looks like a bow. The bridge is 1150 feet long and 18 feet breadth. About Taka 5.6 million was spent to build the bridge. During the Bangladesh Liberation War the bridge was blown off by dynamite by the Pakistan Army and damaged. It was repaired in 1977.

Day-2:
After breakfast start driving to visit Ratargul, is the only swamp forest located in Bangladesh and one of the few freshwater swamp forest in the world. The forest is naturally conserved under the Department of Forestry, Govt. of Bangladesh. The evergreen forest is situated by the river Goain and linked with the cannel Chengir Khal. Most of the trees grow here are Pongamia pinnata ( Koroch tree ). The forest goes under 20-30 feet water in the rainy season. Rest of the year the water level is about 10 feet deep.

Take 3 pm train to Dhaka
